Can I use my RTA to test my RDA resistance?

I just upgraded from a SmokTech RTA to a Mephisto V2 RDA. I built my first coil last night and used a multimeter to test the resistance. My first build was amateurish but worked, yet unfortunately my multimeter’s lowest setting is factored by 10 * "resistance reading". Therefore, my needle only moves .15 tick marks above zero for .15 * 10 = 1.5 ohm. While this allows me to make sure there are no shorts, it is not accurate enough to really estimate resistance. For giggles, I threw my RDA tank onto my RTA mod body and went to the resistance read-out option which was 9.9. This value seams high, is the value 0.1 * 9.9 = .99 ohms? Is this not an accurate or precise method to test resistance? Thanks for any and all advice.

Which battery for Aspire Nautilus

Hello everyone!
I am very new on this forum, but I am not new in vaping. I have been using the ego c-twist style batteries and have tried out cheaper tanks. And I have been using these type of vaporizers for about a year and a half now.

And now I want to start upgrading. I definitely know that I want a Aspire Nautilus tank for my kit. Im just confused on which battery to use. There are two batteries I have looked into that I am interested in.
The first is an E-Fire VV battery (~22-25$), the volts start from 3.3v to 4.8 volts and can be adjusted by twisting the bottom. I like the design and it has a ego 510 style twist for the tanks, etc.
The other i’ve been looking at is the iTaste MVP V2. (~30-35$) Variable voltage and variable wattage. Believe it goes 5.0 volts max and 11 wat max.

Which one of these batteries would best be recommended? Im looking for good amount of vapor production with good taste coming out too. What im confused is I heard that variable watts is handy, but not necessary as long as you can judge your resistance with the variable voltage. Is the .2 volts really worth the 10$ extra? I know you’re also paying for some other little features. But sorry that this is a long post. Just need to know the best one! lol thanks!

Increase in lung function

Dr. Polosa, Italian vapor and tobacco expert, reviews e-cigs in BMC Medicine

The newest edition of BMC Medicine includes a thorough review by Dr. Riccardo Polosa of the University of Catania, Italy, of numerous studies (including 9 in which he was an author) of respiratory function among users of e-cigarettes. In a group of “healthy” smokers, lung function improved on spirometric testing at 3, 6, and 12 months after switching from smoking tobacco cigarettes to “vaping.” Among people with asthma and/or COPD (chronic obstructive lung disease, bronchitis and emphysema), improvement in symptoms was noted in two-thirds of smokers who switched to vaping. According to Dr. Polosa, taken together, these findings provide emerging evidence that e-cig/vapor product use can reverse harm from tobacco smoking.

Dr. Polosa’s conclusions are these, where EC represents e-cigarettes and vapor products: “Compared to combustible cigarettes, e-vapor products are at least 96% less harmful and may substantially reduce individual risk and population harm. Future research will better define and further reduce residual risks from EC use to as low as possible by establishing appropriate quality control and standards. Although large longitudinal studies are warranted to elucidate whether ECs are a less harmful alternative to tobacco cigarettes and whether significant health benefits can be expected in smokers who switch from tobacco to ECs, the emerging evidence that EC use can reverse harm from tobacco smoking should be taken into consideration by regulatory authorities seeking to adopt proportional measures for the e-vapor category.”

ACSH’s Dr. Gil Ross added, “One by one, the myths being foisted upon smokers by corrupt and/or ideological opponents of e-cigs are being toppled. Others include the baseless charge that nicotine <a href="http://www.vapininthecape.com/eliquid_c_7.html”>liquid is poisoning children, and that flavored e-<a href="http://www.vapininthecape.com/eliquid_c_7.html”>liquids are seducing youth into vaping, nicotine addiction, and smoking — whereas the data clearly show these statements are lies. One day, those who have propagated the falsehoods that are keeping smokers smoking will be held to account, I hope.”

The demise of the analog, a progress report.

Tuesday will be two months since my sincere commitment to vaping.

Tonight, I dug out my stash. I cleaned two tanks, rotated a few coils into the everclear bath and topped off the other tanks for the work day tomorrow.

Then, for grins, I got out the "other" stash, the neglected one from under my desk that had been my dearest friend for 3/4 of my middle aged life.

I pulled out the (surprisingly) still fresh red pouch of American Spirit. I dropped a Zen filter and a pinch of tobacco in the Rizla paper and twisted it up.

I uncovered the ashtray. It reeked. BAD. I applied a flame and drew.

It now feels almost foreign. The draw is all wrong. the taste is south of dirty diaper. Little flecks of ash flying through the air. It’s just nasty all around.

I am happy to report that I was less than half way through when I decided it was not worth my time.

For those of you still flip flopping from smoke to vapor, you really owe it to yourself to put that distance between you and the smoke just long enough for your senses to reboot. It makes a world of difference.

To quote a good friend of our community, "Smoking is dead. Vaping is the future and the future is NOW!" :vapor:

Have a lovely day.

Thinking about getting this or that..

Hello guys ! So let me explain my self..
Firstival, Im from and live in Brazil so that means that I cannot buy e-cig from another country, import, or whatever because it’s forbidden to ship to here :/.
But there are a few markets that sell e-cig here, but they sell the "cheap" mods, kits =(
The best that i found was these two..

**Kangertech EVOD MEGA 1600mAH with VV(3,0v~4,8v) and comes with a atomizer evod kangertech of 1,8 OHM

and also a

**KIT VISION SPINNER II 1650mAH with also VV(3,3v~4,8v) and also comes with a atomizer evod kangertech of 1,8 OHM

So between these two guys, which ones will produce more "smoke" ? (I’m not into nicotine(PG), I’m more about VG flavours). And which one of these two can I upgrade later on to a RDA ? (just like in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIBW3fjGcJA )

Here they are the same price, but i want the one that makes more vape(smoke), tell me the pros and cons about these two !

Thank you guys SO MUCH ! and sorry for my Grammar 🙁

new to the forums, relatively new to vaping

Hey guys, got into vaping a few months ago with an eleaf istick and nautilus mini. With the eleaf and 18mg <a href="http://www.vapininthecape.com/eliquid_c_7.html”>juice I cut back from a pack of 12mg smokes a day to a pack of 4mg per week almost immediately. I have since moved to 12mg <a href="http://www.vapininthecape.com/eliquid_c_7.html”>juice and this week begins the final phase of the analogs at 1mg. I’ve recently invested some of the cash saved from analogs ($25 – $30 for a pack of 25 here) in some new equipment and have joined the forums to discuss.
